First Time Trainee Members Join Free!

First-time domestic and international trainee members are eligible to join the ATS free for one-year.  After this first year, Trainee membership continues at a low cost with most of the benefits and value of full membership until your formal training ends.

This special membership program welcomes trainees into respiratory, critical care, and sleep medicine within the ATS community.  The ATS recognizes that trainees are the professionals who will achieve the next major advancements in the science and treatment of pulmonary disease, critical illness and sleep-related breathing disorders.

To take advantage of this opportunity, go to the Apply for ATS Membership page. For questions, contact the ATS Concierge at membership@thoracic.org or (212) 315-8684.

Membership Hardship Relief Program

Members of the ATS whose lives and livelihoods have been severely affected by the devastating effects of recent earthquakes or other natural disasters are eligible to apply to the Membership Hardship Relief Program (MHRP).

This program provides assistance to active ATS members by maintaining their membership and receipt of the ATS journals for one year at no cost. If you are eligible by virtue of being in an area declared as disaster-stricken and would like to participate, please complete a brief form online.

Please contact our ATS Concierge with any questions: membership@thoracic.org, +1 (212) 315-8684.

Dual Membership Discount Programs

The ATS offers Full Domestic ($375) and Full International Level A ($300) members paying standard dues valuable opportunities to maintain membership in related membership societies to broaden their professional affiliation.  To achieve this, we have developed dual membership discount programs with the following partner associations:

Full US members, and Full International Level A members of the ATS, and the partner societies ACP, APSR and the ERS who pay standard membership dues to each society are eligible for a discount; discounts may not be combined. For more information, click on the links above.
